Andrew Seligson is a composer from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music, and is now a student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, MA. His style of composition is primarily programmatic, and ranges from 19th century art song, to romantic and impressionistic solo harp music, to tone poems of 20th century religious literature such as "The Little Prince" and "The Lord of the Rings". His first opera, entitled "Memory", premiered off broadway in 2016. His second, in Tel Aviv, in 2017. His third, "Break Your Chains", premiered at Juilliard in 2018. He has also written numerous works for chamber groups, including Impromptu for Harp, which renowned harpist Lisa Tannenbaum premiered in 2018.

Andrew is passionate about teaching music and guitar, and previously taught in refugee camps in Jordan and Palestine. Professionally, outside of music, Andrew has worked for the United Nations, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, and in the Jordanian humanitarian ecosystem in Amman. He hopes to continue integrating music into his professional work, and find inspiration from those he works with in his personal compositions.
